Creative Work
IADT - Sensory Pod Design
While pursuing my M.Sc. in Cyberpsychology at Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), I had the opportunity to participate in a sensory pod design competition. To fully understand the pod's design limitations and physical constraints, I initiated contact with the manufacturers. This research informed my creative process, leading to a design that showcased my creativity and catered effectively to the practical needs of creating a comfortable, sensory-friendly environment.
My design was selected for its creative approach and was subsequently installed on the IADT campus. Below is a snapshot of the various designs I considered for this project. A key part of my creative process involved utilizing virtual models of the sensory pods from the manufacturer's website. This allowed me to visualize how each design would materialize from different perspectives, ensuring each was coherent, aesthetically pleasing, and captivating from all angles.

Academic Work
M.Sc. Cyberpsychology - Thesis
In my Cyberpsychology thesis titled "Designs Deep Questions," I delve into the realm of Existential Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Design. This study explores the profound ways in which technology design impacts human existence, intersecting HCI with existentialist philosophy. Through examining the insights of everyday designers and researchers, my research sheds light on how digital interfaces influence our existential experiences.
This academic endeavour significantly enhanced my qualitative research abilities, as I conducted in-depth interviews based on a meticulously designed interview protocol, always with a strong emphasis on ethical considerations. The insights gained from this thesis offer valuable perspectives on creating more meaningful and purposeful interactions within our increasingly digital world.
